Hello to family and friends! I know this has been anticipated by y’all (at least I’d like to think so…. hehe!) for a while and it is finally here! Kiah and I are surviving China and are having a blast being here. We have been growing closer to each other and to the Lord. Kiah and I have had many new experiences. I really don’t know where to begin because so much has happened. I guess I will start from the beginning even before we arrived in Beijing. Kiah and I during our Winter Semester at BYU-Idaho couldn’t really focus on the things that we were doing, because of just how excited we were knowing that in just a few months we would be leaving American soil and setting foot in the “Far East”. Kiah had been to Beijing right before we got engaged and kept telling me of all these things she wanted to take me to when I got to Beijing and that only made me even more anxious. I was so excited when we were only “days” away from boarding the flight. Ever since my mission to Taiwan I knew that one-day I would be going to China, but I thought it would be in the very far future when I was old and decrepit. When the day finally came to leave my family I was a bit sad, let’s just say I will always be a Mama’s Boy! Anyways, We boarded the plane around 5:30am on April 27th 2012 in Vegas, had one stop in Seattle and then a direct flight to Beijing! The flight was long, hot, and stinky and I was ready to land, but when the captain came on and said we were landing we ended up staying in the air for about 45minutes longer and then when we did land we circled the tarmac for another 45 minutes to an hour making our arriving time about 8pm April 27th an hour and half late. When we came out of the airport Kiah’s family was all waiting for us excited to see us and also excited to go home!
